The first Halloween Party
Daddy October 22nd, 2006
Alex got his first taste of Halloween this weekend as some of Mommy’s co-workers threw a costume party. The family went as a themed group with Mommy and Daddy dressed as mad scientists and Alex dressed as their monkey boy on whom they do experiments.
Lots of Mommy’s co-workers were at the party including Alex’s buddy, Bich. She was dressed as a Mayan woman – a cute ensemble that included a cabbage patch kid who she carried on her back.
There were many others at the party, but it was late and Alex was ready for bed by the time we got there. So, we didn’t get to stay long, but we had fun while we were there. Alex is really looking forward to using his costume to procure some candy from the surrounding neighbors (his words, not mine). Too bad Mommy and Daddy will have to eat it all for him.

Too cute! What a great costume set idea! Nick keeps wanting to dress the baby as Yoda and himself as Luke. Maybe next year!
Ha! I wanted to do that too, but we couldn’t find a good Princess Leia type costume, so we went with the monkey. It was probably best for us since we didn’t stay at the party long. I would have hated to buy more than just a couple of wigs and then only used them for an hour.
